Welsh-language school receives planning permission

Wednesday, 22 June 2016

A major schools project, managed by our Newport office, has recently been granted planning approval.

The £30m scheme, Ysgol Gyfun Gwent Is Coed, is set to be Newport’s first Welsh-language secondary school, and will include a new classroom and remodelling of the existing Duffryn High School to create a 21st century learning environment.

Project Manager Phil Booth said: “This is a very exciting project for us. We have been working with Newport City Council since the project’s inception and are looking forward to managing the city’s first Welsh-language secondary school.”
